Second Chances for Horses. Hope for Humans.

Rescuing and rehabilitating at-risk horses while creating opportunities for healing, connection, and resilience.

About Legacy Hooves

Legacy Hooves Equine Center is a nonprofit equine rescue and rehabilitation organization dedicated to giving vulnerable horses a second chance while creating opportunities for human growth and connection.

Many of the horses we accept are those others are unable or unwilling to take — including ungentled mustangs, older working horses, and animals requiring stabilization after neglect or abandonment.

Through patient care, structured rehabilitation, and compassionate handling, horses are given the time they need to rebuild trust and rediscover purpose.

Our Mission
Legacy Hooves Equine Center rescues, rehabilitates, and repurposes at-risk horses while providing trauma-informed, non-clinical equine-assisted learning experiences that strengthen individuals, families, and communities.

How Your Support Helps

Give a Second Chance
Every rescued horse requires ongoing care — including feed, veterinary attention, farrier services, and gradual training. Your support helps stabilize vulnerable horses and creates opportunities for meaningful human connection.

Your donation helps provide:

  • Feed and daily care for rescued horses

  • Nutritional rehabilitation for underweight horses

  • Corrective hoof care and veterinary treatment

  • Training and handling for previously unhandled mustangs

  • Safe equine-assisted learning opportunities for the community
